Our venture into vacation rental hosting has taken a distinctive route. For many years, while our children were young, Brian and I managed long-term single-family rentals. Our discovery of Airbnb transformed our travel preferences, whether traveling as a couple, with our children, or with friends, particularly to Southern Illinois and the Lake of Egypt region, where we frequently visited enjoying the hiking trails, wineries, and of course the lake. Once our children were grown, we sold our long-term rentals and invested in a home in our favorite area to reconnect and relax, intending to occasionally rent it out. This soon evolved, with family and friends frequently requesting to rent our home, exceeding our capacity. We realized we had a passion for hosting, which led us to seek additional properties. We are committed to expanding our portfolio and sharing our love for this unique area with our guests.
